Winch remote control
I do not like to put down my glass of wine to operate a winch. I installed four Harken electric rewind winches on the boat in stead of the standard Lewmar winches. A rewind winch is capable of pulling and easing a line electrically with the push of a button. Sitting behind the steering wheel, I can now operate all of  my four winches. Imagine sailing on a port beam-reach with the spinnaker. I can now adjust the spinnaker sheet from behind the steering wheel. It also allows me to adjust the mainsail and genoa from the navigation station inside the boat. The two daylights in the roof of the salon gives optimal view on the sails. It is great to adjust them from there, especially in bad weather when you sit inside on your watch.
